InsectiPro produces Black Soldier Fly protein meal (InsectiPro Feed), organic frass-based fertilizer (FortiGrow), and cricket/BSF human food products in Kenya. Founded in 2018, the company operates an integrated model combining industrial production with farmer training across 650+ smallholders. Six concurrent research projects (2021-2024) supported by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, and IDH address BSF genetics, liquid fertilizer development, and school nutrition trials (300 children tested on cricket-fortified porridge).
